Filenames Contain Keywords

July 13, 2009

Just updated my beauty archive, now my filenames contain keywords.

When search engines read your filenames, they should be learning something about the image. If your filenames use a specialized naming convention or just use the default camera-assigned filenames (e.g. _DSC0001.jpg), they are not optimized for search engine results. From an SEO perspective, it is recommended to include one to three keywords in a filename wherever possible.

All images in my Beauty Archive (a micro stock collection) are for sale.
