This year I started shooting for Moodboard stock agency. Just after summer they asked me for an interview. Felt a bit funny, me being a new kid on the block in stock photography being interviewed. But they placed the interview and also some of my pics in their magazine . If you click the link you will find the interview in “Issue three” of the Moodboard magazine (page 30). I think the interview is about what I learned in this first (half) year of being a stock shooter.

A few months later

Now at the end of this first year I believe it will cost me some years to fully understand this business. For me it has been tremendous important that I can work together with the creative team of Moodboard agency on a daily basis. I learn everyday from the conversations with my Art Directors. Without this cooperation it would have been like firing bullets at an unknown target. But I still like it …may be even more !! The whole process of building your business and being completely free and independent, I love it. You can focus on shooting and don’t need the whole process of marketing and sales as in assignment photography. But you do need some guidance to know what you should shoot and how you should shoot it. And that is why I like Moodboard agency.
