I offer portrait sessions in my studio and on location (indoors or outdoors). These portrait sessions include makeup and hairstyling. Styling up to your choice. Portrait commissions start at € 200, including makeup and hairstyling (ex btw).
First Contact:
A typical portrait session starts with an email or a telephone call. People have personal wishes (you might say 'dreams') and like to discuss these wishes with the photographer. I like to speak with my clients directly (in person, by phone or in email if necessary,) so I can get to know more about you and what you would like to achieve from your portrait session. At this time we can discuss specifics about your portrait session and I can answer any questions that you may have. Together, we will decide on the location, clothing and mood that is best for your portrait!
How do you schedule a portrait session?
Your session can be reserved by contacting me.
Be sure to book your portrait session as early as possible in order to guarantee your preferred session date and time. A fifty percent (50%) non-refundable retainer (half of the creative fee) is required and due at the time of booking, which reserves your specific session date and time. No date for any project will be held unless a retainer has been received. The remainder of the creation fee payment is due on the date of your scheduled session.
What’s included in your portrait session?
Portrait sessions (including makeup and hairstyling) usually last 3-4 hours and will take place at the location of your choice. Unlimited clothing changes and posing variations. For locations outside the Tilburg region additional fees may apply.
Two weeks following your portrait session, an online gallery will be posted for 30 days so you can view your “Digital Proofs” from your portrait session. You can make your selects and comments online. After you have informed me that you have made your final selection I will prepare a DVD for you.
I charge a single creative fee for your portrait session, which does not include the price of any photographic prints. Print orders can made be made for an additional charge.
Creative fee:
The creative fee covers the costs of planning, creating your portrait session and does include a DVD with your selected digital files (you can select a maximum of 10 photos). These files are high-resolution and have been retouched. This way you can print these photos wherever you want. I shoot big files, so you can print these pics at poster format if you like. The DVD will also contain all the digital files of the shoot in low-res.
What do I charge for a portrait session?
I will charge € 200 for a typical portrait session. This included a fee for a 'normal' makeup at the start of the portrait session. Special wishes like a very advanced makeup and / or complex hairstyling are possible for an additional fee.
Booking Policies: 50% of the non-refundable creative fee is due within 5 days of booking your session to hold your session date.
What about retouching?
I will do a 'basic retouche' including colour correction, the removal of blemishes, softening eye or smile lines & wrinkles. Any additional retouching may be requested for an additional charge per image.
Ordering Prints
You will get your selected pics at high-resolution, so you can print your photos wherever you want and as many times you want. However if you want you can order prints.
Print Rates: The purchase of prints is not included in your creative fee payment. Please contact Jan for more information.
All photographic prints are created at a professional photo lab and are printed on the finest quality Kodak Endura Lustre professional paper. Glossy and Metallic papers are also available.
All prints have an archival quality that will last well over 100 years in typical home display. These are real photographs, not inkjet prints. All images are available to order in both color and black & white.
Rescheduling & cancellation policy:
Please call within 48 hours in advance to reschedule if necessary. In case of cancellation, the entire retainer is forfeit unless other arrangements have been made. Creative fee deposit may be applied to a new appointment if the new appointment occurs within 30 days of the original appointment date. No shows will forfeit their creative fee.
